Attorney Michael E. Gallant manages the firm’s office in the District of Columbia where his practice is focused on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. Before joining Reub Stoller Daniel, LLP, Attorney Gallant managed the pharmaceutical and medical device practice of Bernheim Dolinsky & Kelley, LLC and was a partner of Pollack & Flanders, LLP, Ashcraft & Gerel, LLP, and Herman, Mathis, Casey, Kitchens & Gerel, LLP. Mr. Gallant has spent his career assisting thousands of clients injured by defective medical devices and pharmaceutical products. He has served on discovery and science committees for Multi-District Litigations (MDLs) including MDL 2768: In re Stryker LFIT V-40 Femoral Heads Products Liability Litigation, MDL 2428: In re Fresenius Granuflo/Naturalyte Dialysate Products Liability Litigation and MDL 2441: In Re Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation to name a few. He has been at the forefront of prosecuting claims for patients injured by corrosion caused by metal on metal hips manufactured by Stryker/Howmedica, Depuy/Johnson & Johnson, Zimmer Biomet, and Smith and Nephew. Additionally, for more than 20 years Mr. Gallant has been instrumental in litigating cases concerning the transvaginal mesh products, the dialysis products Granuflo and

Naturalyte, the anti-anxiety medication Abilify, the anti-coagulant Pradaxa, Medtronic Infuse bone morphogenic protein (BMP), the diet drugs Fen-Phen and Redux®, the diabetes drug Avandia, silicone gel breast implants, the gastroesophageal reflux medication Propulsid, the hormone replacement therapy Prempro ™, the Ortho Evra Birth Control Patch, and Guidant Internal Cardiac Defibrillators.

Today, Mr. Gallant is investigating, prosecuting and resolving claims for injuries arising out of the use of IVC filters and proton pump inhibitors – Prilosec and Nexium.

Community Involvement

Mr. Gallant is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Association for Justice, the D.C. Bar Association, the New York Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.

Education

Mr. Gallant received his law degree from Catholic University of America in 1995. He is a member of the New York Bar since 1995 and the District of Columbia Bar since 1996.
